Big lawsuit against Wen. Look it up. Many people have had hair fall out in chunks. Research Research Research. My hairdresser also just told me that Pantene was causing my hair to break off and that she could scrape the wax off that it left on my hair.
So I switched to a shampoo she recommended and 2 weeks later my hair is awful! Its just like straw! I am going back to Pantene and Im never changing again!!!!! I have a LOT of gray hair, some due to age 45 and some because of coloring my hair since many years. Due to this, no matter what products I use, almost all my hair is frizzy and fly-away. Just cant tame it and get the smooth, soft look where all hair is laid down. Please let me know which Pantene products will work best for me.
Thanks in advance. I know, right? This is very interesting…. She said that after long term use the build up eventually causes the hair to break off. I love her but I think she is listening to what Redkin says in all the seminars she attends!
Are you asking if Pantene contains plastic? If so, the answer is no. Paraffin is a wax used in spa pedicure and manicure treatments to exfoliate your skin, also used when canning, also used to make candles, etc. Not plastic. Salon products are only expensive when not used properly. EVERY thing affects your hair, age, hormones, meds including aspirin, environment, etc. I am going back to Pantene because after years of spending hundreds of dollars on salon shampoos and conditioners, my hair is sad, dry and frizzy.
My hair dresser told me the same thing. Pantene causes wax build up and will damage my hair. I have been using Pantene for years and my hair is beautiful and shiny. I always get compliments on my hair and then get asked what I use for it. Of course, I tell them Pantene. I also was told by my hairdresser that Pantene left wax build up. So I started using a different product suggested by her.
Bad mistake! After being so disappointed and frustrated with how dry, frizzy and brittle my hair had become I went out Saturday got Pantene 3 minute miracle repair and protect deep conditioner and Pantene moisture renewal hyrdrating shampoo and conditioner. Today is Wednesday immediate difference in three days! It was a pleasure to blow dry my hair today. I will not switch every again.
Thankyou Pantene I enjoy my hair again. I Heard the same thing about the waxy hair but I have to say I have been using the moisture renewal shampoo and conditioner for years. My hair is soft and feels clean all the time. Their hair was unhealthy one of those kids recently went to a beautician and was told how healthy and soft her hair was. Pantene detangler is also awesome especially if you have long hair or thick hair.
I have long hair to my lower back. I have used panteen for over 10 years. I recently believed all the talk and tried many other shampoos, with juat no luck. Nothing compared to panteen. I have went back to panteen! I use the dry damage poo and conditioner and 3 minute miracle and my hair is back to normal finally.
Soft to touch looks great, healthy. Love panteen and the truth is in all the testimonials! Is that true or is that just s myth? My hair is light strawberry-blonde, and it is as fine and straight as it could be. Any product with methylparaben or propylparaben renders my hair dull and lifeless. Not only that, but my hair will become dry and highly prone to breakage, even after only one use. I read all ingredients when purchasing beauty products.
I am old, if not wise, enough to know what works for me. Without Pantene, I would necessarily have short hair.
Pantene has enabled me to maintain my hair at lengths of two-and-a-half to three-foot lengths for the past decade. Thanks to all who have described their own experiences here. My beautician colored my hair to a darker brown to get rid of the brassy blonde color I had from summer. I went back back and had it colored again but darker. I was told that my shampoo washed the color out because of waxy build up. I love Pantene. I use the colored Pantene and love it.
Pantene does not cause permanent color to wash out more quickly than other shampoos. But remember that any shampoo will cause some color to wash out. Ive been using Pantene Full and Strong shampoo and conditioner for about 2 or 3 weeks every other day. Ive noticed my hair looks more greasy and i started having large white flakes by my scalp. Its not dandruff and there is no itching… i used my color toning shampoo tonight to tone my highlights and my scalp felt like it could breathe again… any suggestions?
Opt for a product line that will let your hair and cuticle breathe! It was always getting more and more damaged with every wash. I have used Pantene shampoo and conditioner for years. My daughter-in law told me her friends beautician said Pantene is really bad.
My daughter -in law believes everything she hears or reads on internet. My hair is so soft and full. Unless I have problems I will not change from Pantene. Thank You. My hairdresser told me that Pantene was awful for my hair.
I have long and thick hair and I personally love the Pantene results. I just want to know if these results are going to last. If you keep using it, let us know what happens. I started using Pantene Curl Perfection shampoo around July and immediately noticed issues. My scalp gets really red, itchy, and flaky, and my hair falls out in clumps. I used it last night and my hair came out in clumps. I actually got a small bald spot near the front of my scalp, which is scary and really upsetting, and the hair in my drain and brush was incredible even though I brush my hair before I shower to avoid clogging my drain.
If it has made your hair fall out in clumps WHY would you go back? Kinda crazy-the the smell of the product would come before hair falling out! She explained what Ive read above about build up and breakage and had my convinced my Pantene was evil.
She talked me into going to Matrix and I purchased a huge bottle of shampoo and condition. This was the worst decision ever.
It doesnt detangle my long color treated hair, I have to sit forever in the shower and detangle with a shower comb WITH the conditioner in it. Two days ago, going thru my bathroom cabinet, I found my Pantene. In just two days my hair is back to its original tangle free soft and manageable self. I love the way Pantene makes my hair feel and act. I have been using Pantene for more years than I can remember. I, however, use no product on my hair except leave-in conditioner, nor do I apply heat 2 it.
And 1 product does not produce miracles; it has much 2 do with what u put n ur body as well on it. Just a thought…… :. I just read your comment. First of all I agree. Secondly- I like you! I spoke to a young girl at work who had s little blonding added to her brown hair. It looked cute. They told her Pantene products were bad for your hair. A few months later, her hair was short and brown. No highlights. We make the same money.
I would not want her credit card bill. Thx for the laugh!! I will tell you the truth. I am a glutton for trying everything hair.
Pantene is not bad for your hair. I am not a hairdresser, just a lady who is paying attention extra for the past few years. I do my roots every 6 weeks or so -with Born Blonde bleach. I have thin hair, but a lot of hair. I keep side swept bangs with a long layered cut angled framing my face and the back is down to my waist.
This is the bottom line for healthy hair. Drink lots of water- try to eat healthier- take vitamins adding Biotin. Wash your hair every other day. Use less gels and products when you can get away without it including hairsprays. If you can- let your hair dry naturally when your just home chilling. Get regular haircuts to clean up ends etc as they take a beating. Love them too.
I like to use a spray leave in conditioner to detangle sometimes. Here is the key-use Nutrigena anti residue like x a month with a light conditioner volumizing. Change off brands every couple days and go easy on heat. I love Pantene and will use it forever. It is most imperative to use what YOU like.
But you must have a variety. Cheap or Expensive- you must experiment and ease up on listening to people that rip products apart. Listen to your hair by what you see in the mirror. Trust me. Change it up and have fun!!! I hope this helps you. Happy Hair Hotties!! This article is sexiest as fuck you need to edit it. Please calm down. Thanks for reminding us that men use this product too. The person writing the article, should of checked with you first.
Have a great holiday! I am a cosmetologist of over 35 years experience. He also said that it was causing my breakage. I did try other Pantene conditioners but he finally told me that I just need another shampoo. I love my hair, but come on. This last time was very disappointing and the worst. Usually, silicones are non-reactive and stable, which makes them effective for a long period. If you often wake up with a bedhead, silicones can come to your rescue as they tame your hair by making it smooth and manageable.
It can hold your hairstyle for a long time. Fortunately, this is not true. There are chances that silicones can weigh your hair down but this occurs if you choose hair products that do not suit your hair type.
Silicones in hair products do not harm your hair. Instead, they shield your hair from the harmful elements by creating a protective layer around the hair shaft. Are you still not convinced? Allow our resident hair specialist bradmullinshair to demystify the myth around the silicones used in hair products. Finding, and targeting damage to nourish hair. Are you sure you want to get some three inches taken off?
No problem with hair, so tell me what you use for shampoo and conditioner. I always tell them whatever is on sale when I need it.
So ladies tell me again, what is the issue here with Pantene. I am not understanding what the issue is. Like I said even hairdressers who teach cosmetology you have beautiful hair no Pantene here. So, what is the problem. If there was a way to do that, I would share that.
Just a way to control people, and to get them to buy other products. I am staying with Pantene for as long as I can buy it. My hair is 4 inches from my behind, Pantene curl perfection makes it easier to handle my long wavy curly hair.
Oh, by the way, I will be 60 in September! It has been out since and if it was this bad, the Swiss Scientist would have never released it. Yes, Pantene has been out since Hi…the people that sell pantone should go to jail…and pay a hefty fine.. I only conditioned it 5 times in 2 months. Until I noticed the same.. After all, new hair grows. When the company was smaller, they had plenty of options and were selective of which ingredients were used. Once they became a giant, they switched from quality to quantity.
They sorta trick you that way. Her hair is falling out and itchy. When I used it, my hair started falling out on the floor and on the sink as if I were having a haircut. I was going to write to the company, but on their website they want you to agree to collect all your personal information which they will keep for 25 years before even starting to write.
Whoever owns Pantene Proctor and Gamble are billionaires who are happy to sell toxic chemicals to poor people while they themselves use the very finest.
When lathering, I notice significant amounts of hair will be on my hand. This article is a relief. I noticed my hair to be a little bit thin in a couple places, when I put my hair up for work. I also use to love cantu but now hate it. And what do you think about garnier whole blends? I use Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three to clarify and a regular size bottle lasts about a year!
I bought Pantene miracle moisture boost rose water shampoo and conditioner. After third wash. My hair started braking off in my hand. I thought someone put pesticides in my shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt like straw. After fourth wash. My hair was so dry and tangled.
I bought because the pink packaging was pretty and it smelled good. I forgot to read ingredients. No more Pantene. I found this article after searching if pantene makes your hair fall out. I noticed after around 4 months my hair was really dull and grimy feeling.
Then I started losing a lot more hair than usual. It could make your hair fall out because of build-up at the scalp around the hair follicle. It could be stress that is causing more of your hair to fall out. Palmolive is dish soap. Palmolive Shampoo. I love Pantene. When my hair was relaxed, Pantene Hair Products were my line of hair products, My hair is natural now, and I have tried several of those new hair products. But, I decided to go back to Pantene, now with the Gold Series hair product.
I know this is old, but I wanted to say that after using Pantene for almost a year, I started experiencing a lot of hair breakage and I do absolutely nothing to my hair but let it be. I had to cut a half inch off and introduce layers after three years of growing it because of Pantene.
Never again. Every time I use Pantene conditioner there is a mass of hair in the drain catcher. I thought it was a coincidence. I stopped using it no breakage, this winter the dryness indoors is making my hair static so I bought Pantene again, what the h- breakage in the hair strainer.
I bought the big bottle too. I feel like an idiot! At first, it was wonderful. My hair showed the damage from it. Once my grandmother realized I was using Pantene she almost fainted!
She begged me to quit using it. I did. My hair is much more healthier now. Tresemme is a good alternative. I find Loreal everpure works great too. Just my experience. Thanks for your comment!
The problems with Pantene come from long-term use although product buildup on the air begins at the first use. Your hair will feel great and look great at first, but eventually it will become weighed-down, limp, harder to manage, etc. This is a myth and has been debunked. Ingredient for ingredient, pantene is pretty much identical to the pricey olaplex that stylists are currently obsessed with.
If anyone has a layer of wax on their head that is sticking to scissors… it is because that person is just dirty or has build up of styling products. Not from shampoo or conditioner. My own hair reacts the same way; there is definitely a problem with the formula. Wow, I thought pantene was the best shampoo but now after all of your experiences i think i should look for other options.
Well my hair use to be healthy pantene made it softer when i switched now 5 years later it there lots of hair loss.. No body no more.. Just bleh. And i use no heat products or dye my hair. Have there been any other changes that could have contributed to your hair loss like stress, diet, etc,?
If not, then your issue could have been a result of product build-up or ingredients in the shampoo you were using. This is especially true of cheaper products or products that are not right for your hair type and needs. Product build-up is the main culprit because it can damage the hair follicle causing the hair to fall out, which may or may not come back.
Suave is one of the cheapest shampoo brands you can buy. Pantene made my hair fall out.
